Great composition. I like how tall the grass is. I would have tried to not have any grass blocking the umbrella itself so there would be more emphasis on it; the long piece there is a little distracting.

all of photos from this man and his little black umbrella are good ones, but this is near perfect. This resembles Miyazaki's Totoro, which is one of the most lovelies movie character, which I know. He/she (I dunno, which one it is) have umbrella too and actually Totoro holds it same way. and the atmosphere of this photo is same as in the film: far away from reality, like from very nice dream. (Have you the film?)

I just love this shot!

:) Miyazaki is amazing director, and all of his movies are something very special. yep, Spirited away was the first film, which I watched from his works, and maybe that's why it's also my favourite. by the way have you seen his newest movie (howl's moving castle)?

You have caught same dreamland athmosphere, which miyazaki has also in his movies. that's great!

Awesome picture. It's pretty but has a comedic element to it as well. Great colors.

you and I share an umbrella fetish.

I like this photo, the setting and idea is really good. The only thing I might've changed would be to maybe pan down slightly to include a little more of the bushes so that the subject is a little above center.
